Assets affect other Assets.
I have had a toothache for the last several days and Sunday afternoon I decided I wanted to see the dentist.
Just so happens that one of our friends works for a dentist, and I was able to get in right away for some x rays.
This week’s video is about missing pieces to your #1 Asset.
We found out that I had a crack all the way down through the center of my tooth.
They needed to extract the tooth.
I’m sore. There’s a lot of pressure when I lay down at night.
It’s uncomfortable.
I’ve got to let it heal for three months and then they’re going to go in and they’re going to put a titanium screw where the tooth was and then put a porcelain tooth on top of it.
I’m all about preventative maintenance and you probably are as well.
When we think about #1 Asset, we think about self-care.
We think about preventative maintenance.
We think about being deliberate in taking care of ourselves because when we take care of ourselves, we’re able to do that much more for those around us.
However, there may be things going on in life that we are unaware of.
For me, I didn’t know that I needed a mouthguard in order to protect my teeth when I race off-road.
And that one missing item caused days of physical pain, time away from the office, and the inability to focus on being my best self.
It messes with my head, it messes with my certainty and messes with my power.
I don’t like being down.
During my production days here at the office, I don’t like resting.
The lesson here for me is about preventative maintenance.
I’m encouraging you to take this lesson into your life.
